START/OVER is a progressive metalcore band from Amsterdam. Risen out of the ashes of previous bands, the band sets out to create an unique soundscape that combines hard hitting riffs and mesmerizing melodies. With influences from melodic hardcore, djent and prog, the band has created their own sound that won’t leave you unsatisfied. With their own lightshow and experience from shows with Make Them Suffer, Novelists, Cursed Earth, The Royal, LANDMVRKS and a sold out show with The Charm The Fury, the band has set all steps to ensure a steady and convincing liveshow.

In 2017 the band released their debut EP “Laments” which is available on all popular services. Later in 2017, START/OVER released the standalone single, "Lucie" with a music video. In 2018 the band released a revision of “Survival of the Fittest”, called “SOTF”. Thanks to worldwide fan submissions, this single with video was received very well as well.

Review Snippets :

“START/OVER weet met “Laments” een ontzettend sterke eerste EP af te
leveren. De band laat zien dat hij goed is in samenspel en vooral dat
hij goede muziek kan maken.” – Smash Press

“The complexity of the musical compositions and the way they master
their instruments do not betray their young age. The audio mix is well
balanced and professionally done as well. I have the feeling we will be
hearing more from these talented guys on some metalcore festival or
stage very soon. Keep an eye and ear out for START/OVER.” – Lyrical
Spell Magazine

“The vocals I would almost compare to a very young Parkway Drive with
very strong guttural sounds. There is crushing drums used to almost
hypnotize you into bobbing your head and wanting to stamp your feet. A
few well timed breakdowns and some nice little melodies dotted here
and there make up a very well balanced EP.” – DMG Reviews

“Om de heavy scene in Nederland meer onder de aandacht te brengen is de Nederlandse progressive metalcore band START/OVER de organisatie HEAVY/SOUNDS gestart. Op vrijdag 17 november presenteren ze hun eerste showcase in Wiston, Amsterdam met als headliner één van de beste metalcore-acts die Nederland te bieden heeft: The Royal!”
